I met this bull elephant in Mana Pools on a warm, still morning. He had finished feeding and simply stood there, resting in the open, completely at ease. I stopped at a respectful distance and watched as he relaxed his trunk, letting it curl gently, his ears hanging softly at his sides.

Behind him, the typical blue haze of Mana Pools settled between the trees, layering the forest in soft shapes. The contrast between his heavy, wrinkled body and the dreamy, painterly background felt magical. It was less about drama and more about sharing a quiet moment with a wild giant who trusted his surroundings.
