I had spotted the giraffes browsing peacefully and knew they were about to cross the road. Anticipating a unique opportunity, I drove closer and then lay on the ground to achieve a dramatic low angle. As they began to cross, I searched for a compelling composition. The lead giraffe paused, turning its head to look directly at me. I waited patiently, holding my breath, until the three giraffes behind it aligned perfectly between its legs. This fleeting moment of connection and perfect alignment is what makes “Giraffe Utopia” so special.
