This photograph was made at a hyena den near Victoria Falls, a place I have had the privilege of observing over time. Hyena cubs are incredibly inquisitive, especially when their parents are out foraging. They spend their days exploring the immediate surroundings of the den, playing with siblings, and cautiously investigating anything new.

On this particular morning, the light was exquisite, painting the landscape in soft, warm hues. The cubs were particularly active, venturing further from the den entrance.
