Captured in the open light of Botswana’s Kalahari, Left to the Wind portrays a young male cheetah walking through a near‑white landscape, his spotted body the only strong line in the frame. He was calling constantly, searching for the mother who had abandoned him—his cries carried away on the dry desert wind. The high‑key treatment strips the scene back to almost nothing, echoing his sudden aloneness and the fragile space he must now cross to survive on his own.
