On this windy morning, clouds were building and the light felt heavy. This young suricate paused on the edge of the mound, then lifted its head to follow something moving high overhead. For a few seconds it seemed completely focused on the sky, ears forward and body tense. That mix of vulnerability and alertness is what I wanted to hold in this meerkat looking for raptors print.
