On this morning the pack moved slowly, checking different places to rest. I positioned myself low on the ground so that the horizon dropped out of view and the dark green background filled the frame. The african wild dog was completely relaxed and comfortable with my presence, which allowed me to work slowly and wait for the moment when it lifted its head and looked back.
